Antoine Sauwen: 1st Production Assistant
- How did you end up in the film business?
With a friend, we started writing our film scripts 8-9 years ago, we very quickly managed to write treatments that we believed in but which required a lot of means and experience. So we took the initiative to make our first short films in order to experiment, create contacts and above all to refine our scripts in parallel with these projects.
- Why do you want to work in this sector? What attracts you?
The strength of a cinematographic work is quite inexplicable to me, what I can feel and experience is quite singular, it is each time an experience in its own right, I would like to be able to share what has been shared with me. Working together in an artistic project is an essential opportunity for me and cinema has this potential.
- Do you have an anecdote from the shooting to share with us?
Oh, I'm sorry, but I don't think I have a specific anecdote to tell. Except that I was a production assistant and on the set, since I'm quite tall, I was mainly used to turn lights on and off in high places.
- Why do we have to go to CASE?
Encouraging local cultural projects, Belgian cinema is a small family and CASE is part of it!
